Baking Tips

Oftentimes we learn from experience. Here are a few tips that you don't have to learn the hard way:
- Preheat your oven.
- Place your baking pan in the middle of the oven.
- Stagger the placement of additional baking pans to ensure good air flow.
- Spritz your bread dough with a fine mist of water just before baking to make a smooth firm crust.
- Using parchment paper or pizza stone instead of greasing your pans can cut calories.
- Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. Put your bread in and lower the temperature to 350 degrees for a chewy crust.
- Slashing the top of your unbaked bread loaf accommodates natural expansion when it bakes. Looks cool, too.
